Camfrog Network Planned Outage

Dear Customers!

Camfrog planned a network upgrade tonight.

You can expect a ROOM DOWN TIME, at the same time, since the Central Server will be offline.

As posted by Camfrog Official Blog:

“Tonight we plan to have an outage between 9-11PM PST for server maintenance.  We are upgrading our network to better serve you.  Thank you for using Camfrog.”

Server 02 Reboot

Dear Customers!

The server 02 has a high load and needs to be rebooted.

Its caused by a wrong script, thats use a lot of memory after long time online.

Sorry for any inconvenience thats caused you.

UPDATE 09:31 :  Server is rebooted and the crashed script removed. All affected services are back online :)

UPDATE 09:38 : The server still with over memory usage and we are now double checking the system and hardware.

UPDATE 09:42 : We have rebooted the server to perform a memory check now.

UPDATE 09:59: The memory test is 69% done. After it, we will performa a file system check on raid to double check the system integrity and preserv all data.

UPDATE 10:07: Memory test was sucessfully done. Now we are starting a RAID5 file system check.

UPDATE 10:13: We are restarting the server to check how its going on.

UPDATE 11:34: All rooms are up. We still monitor this server.

Camfrog Client 5.3.224 (Windows) Released

Today Camfrog updated Windows client with version 5.3.224.  This new version allows Pro users to remove ads from chat room list, adds new green diamond virtual gifts, creates a new system for changing your email address for more security, the minimum password for accounts is now 6 characters, and we have fixed several crashes some users were experiencing.

Server 09 getting a new hardware

BOT 01 Server Down

Dear Customers!

We are currently experience a downtime at our bot server 01.

Our techs are checking this issue and we will update this post soon.

We get updates from our NOC:

[start - 10:20] Our engineers have detected power anomalies in server room #5 in Dallas (sr05.dal01).

The Emergency Response Team has been notified and engineers are working to identify and resolve the issue.

As the situation unfolds, more information will be available via the emergency communication center inside the public and private portal.

Due to the high volume of tickets and calls that may arise during this issue, delays may occur as engineers work to quickly and efficiently communicate all information.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation. Updated information will be posted as soon as it becomes available.

[update - 10:25] It would appear the same PDU (power distribution unit) that feeds several rows of servers has gone offline again.

Engineers are working to bring it back online.

More updates will follow when available.
